My story begins on my father’s lap, in front of a newspaper, where I learned to read. I spent my childhood devouring whatever I could get my hands on, from Amelia Bedelia to my Precious Moments Bible, and a love affair with writing soon followed. I spent my middle and high school years at Palm Beach County School of the Arts (now A.W. Dreyfoos, Jr. School of the Arts) where my literary foundation was built. After almost 15 years of working as a Registered Nurse, I’ve turned back to my love for writing, a passion I’d pushed to the background but had been unable to shake, and within 2 years of picking up the pen, or the laptop as it were, here I am!

Dana Renee Green is a registered nurse turned author of thought-provoking literary fiction that seeks to illuminate the experiences of American women. She hails from South Florida but is shaped by her South Carolina background. Her passion for creative writing and public speaking led her to attend an arts school, where she honed her skills.

When Dana isn’t busy putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), you can find her indulging in Scandal reruns with a glass of red wine, staying up until 3 am researching her genealogy, exploring international destinations, or spending quality time with her 3 children and beloved cavapoo, Haven. She also enjoys volunteering, participating in marches for health awareness and advocating for social justice.

Her debut novel, Before the Sun Returns to My Window, will be released in 2025 with the second, Your People Will Be My People, slated for 2027.
